A one-page summary to bring to the vet

The Okaypup visit summary compiles what you have recorded into a single page: dog basics, the last 72 hours of the log, counted breaths, weight, reminders, good days and recent visits. Bring it on your phone or share it ahead. It holds your notes and offers no diagnosis.

What is in the summary?

It has sections for dog basics, the recent log from the last 72 hours, breaths you counted per minute at rest, weight, meds and reminders, good days over the last 30 days and recent visits. A section with no entries says Nothing recorded.

How do I use it?

Open Health, then Visit summary. On the free plan you get an on-screen preview. Plus adds export, share and print.

Show it at the appointment or send it ahead through the share sheet.

  1. Open the Health tab.
  2. Tap Visit summary.
  3. Review the sections.
  4. Show it, or export it with Plus.

What does the footer mean?

Every summary ends with the line Owner-recorded notes, not a diagnosis. Okaypup is not a medical device. The numbers are what you entered or counted, and your vet decides what they mean.

Why bother?

At an appointment it is easy to forget when the last dose was or what the dog weighed last month. A page that lists those facts saves time. Pair it with the records wallet for vaccine papers and see what to bring to a vet appointment.

What goes into the log section?

The summary includes the recent log from the last 72 hours: meals, walks, medication and potty entries with their times. That is long enough to cover a weekend and short enough to read in a minute at the clinic.

Keep logging as you go and the summary builds itself.

Can I show it without sharing a file?

Yes. The on-screen preview is available on the free plan, so you can hold up your phone at the appointment. Export, share and print belong to Plus.

What goes into the dog basics?

The first section lists name, breed, age, sex and microchip number, along with allergies, conditions and medications as you entered them. These are owner notes, so the page labels them that way.

What do the log numbers show?

For the last 72 hours the summary counts meals, walks, potty breaks and accidents logged, and shows the latest entry. It also lists your reminders with the last time each was done and the next date, plus recent vet visits.

Can I add questions?

Yes. A Questions to ask section takes up to five short questions, and they are included when you export. Put the most important one first.

How do I get it ready in five minutes?

  1. Log anything you forgot from the past three days.
  2. Update the weight on the Health tab if it is stale.
  3. Open Visit summary and scroll through each section.
  4. Type your questions.
  5. Show it on screen, or export the PDF or print it if you have Plus.

Honest limits

The summary is only as complete as your log, and it shows 72 hours rather than a long history. It does not import records from the clinic and does not interpret anything. Sections with no entries say Nothing recorded, which is a prompt to fill them in, not a finding.

What do the weight and good days sections show?

The weight section shows the numbers you entered, and the breaths section shows the resting counts you recorded. Good days covers the last 30 days and reflects how you marked each day. All of it is your own data, shown without a verdict.

How do I print or send it?

With Plus, the summary has Export PDF and Print buttons. You can send the file to the clinic before the visit. Check the clinic's preferred way first, since some prefer to see it on your phone.

Who benefits most?

The page helps most when several people care for the dog, when your dog takes medication on a schedule, and when the visit is for something that came up over a few days and you want the timeline straight.

What if my dog has several health notes?

Allergies, conditions and medications live in the dog profile as owner notes, so you write them once and they flow into the summary and the passport. Keep each note short and in the vet's wording. If something changes, edit the profile before the next visit so the page matches what the clinic last told you.

Does the summary work for a grooming or boarding visit?

It is built for vet visits, but the same page helps at a groomer or boarding facility that asks about medication and recent meals. Share only what the place needs, and use the passport for vaccine proof.

The recent log section covers the last 72 hours.
