Okaypup privacy policy
Okaypup needs no account. Everything you enter about your dog stays on your iPhone. The app shows no ads, does not sell data and does not track you across apps or websites. Nothing leaves your phone unless you share it yourself. Updated 3 October 2026.
Who is responsible for your data?
The developer of Okaypup is responsible for this policy. Okaypup has no account and no server of its own, so the developer does not receive your dog profiles, photos or records.
What stays on your iPhone
Dog profiles, photos, Pup Cards and quiz answers. Care log entries, reminders, records and document photos, weights, breathing counts you record, good-day notes, visits and costs, and walk and alone-time sessions. Your clinic numbers, settings and language.
The app also keeps an anonymous list of app events, for example card shared, on the device. It is included in your data export and you can turn it off in Me > Privacy and data.
What you choose to share
When you tap Share, Save image, Share PDF or Export, the app creates the file and hands it to the iOS share sheet. Where it goes next is your choice. A shared Pup Card contains the dog's name, the photo if you keep it on, the personality type and a link to okaypup.app.
Purchases
Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are processed by Apple. To check whether Plus is active, Okaypup uses a third-party billing service, which receives an anonymous app user ID and your App Store purchase receipts and keeps them under its own policy. We never see your payment details. See the billing service's privacy policy.
Notifications and permissions
Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your iPhone. No push server is involved. The camera and photo library are used only when you add a dog photo or a document photo. Add to Photos is used only when you tap Save image. Notifications are requested only after you tap Allow.
Find a vet opens Apple Maps with a search for veterinarians; Apple Maps then handles your location under Apple's own policy. Okaypup itself does not request location.
Health information
Okaypup is not a medical device and gives no medical advice. What you record about your dog is your own note-keeping. It is never used for advertising or sold. Okaypup does not use Apple HealthKit.
Children
Okaypup is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.
Deleting your data
Data stays on your iPhone until you remove it. Me > Privacy and data > Delete all data removes every dog, entry, photo and scheduled notification from the app. Deleting the app also removes its data. Subscriptions are managed by Apple, and deleting data does not cancel them.
